Emma Willis replaces Brian Dowling as presenter of ‘Big Brother’

Emma Willis is the new presenter of ‘Big Brother’, it has been confirmed.

Having hosted spin-off ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ since the first series on Channel 5 in 2010, Channel 5 have today announced she will replace Brian Dowling on the main show.

Willis started her presenting career in 2002 and has hosted ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here Now’,’ T4′ and ‘Girlfri3nds’. She has most recently fronted ‘The Hub’ on ITV’s ‘This Morning’, relief hosted the show itself as well as presenting the Heart Sunday Breakfast show.

She said:  “I am thrilled to have been offered this job.  I’m a fan first and foremost so to be able to front the show is going to be amazing.  Roll on the summer!”

The 37-year old will also host ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.

Ben Frow, Director of Programmes for Channel 5, commented: “Emma is a natural on screen, she’s made the spin off show her own and now the time is totally right for her to step up.  I know she’ll take Big Brother to the next level and I can’t wait to see her dealing with the housemates both famous and soon to be famous.  I’d also like to thank Brian Dowling for doing such a sterling job over the last two years. He’s been a big part of the success of the show and I wish him the very best. ”

‘Big Brother’ will return to Channel 5 in the summer.
